The Columbus Dispatch: Suburbs inspire an idea for novel by Leah Wynalek

“Kaira Rouda has racked up many achievements, including a best-selling business book for women and a spot on the Forbes list of “30 Women Entrepreneurs To Follow on Twitter.” Her latest accomplishment – a debut novel – was a goal since the fourth grade. Here, Home, Hope, released this month, follows Kelly Mills Johnson as she reinvents herself during a midlife crisis. The book recently won the Indie 2011 Excellence Award for best “chick-lit” novel. Rouda grew up in Columbus and returned after her graduation from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. She developed the Real Living Real Estate brand from her husband’s company, HER Realtors. A resident of Malibu, Calif., the 48-year-old Rouda – recently interviewed by phone – is in town this week for book signings and readings.” Read the entire article
